Richard Brant Gerston

Richard Brant Gerston is an accomplished executive director with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, he is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Skyfer Energy LLC, since April 2001. Richard Brant Gerston’s career in the renewable energy industry spans more than two decades, marked by significant leadership roles at reputable organizations. Before establishing his own company, he held the position of head of the Power Grids business from 1995 to 1998. Beginning his career at ABB in 1995, Richard Brant Gerston has navigated through various key roles within the organization. In 1997, he assumed the responsibility of global business line manager for substations within the Power Systems Division (PSM), further solidifying his expertise in the field. Skyfer Energy LLC has conducted massive investments in the financial services and technology industries, with a total market value of over $600 million for both residential and commercial systems.

Academically, Richard Brant Gerston holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin, and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University, Arizona, highlighting his robust educational background, also serves as a consultant to numerous energy companies across different cities, leveraging his profound industry insights and expertise. He remains actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and United States Renewable Energy Association (USREA) where he contributes to the advancement of the field.
